Bibi Shareema Gopaul and Jarvis Small called Barry Small appeared before Magistrate Priya Beharry to answer to the capital offence of Murder. The suspects were remanded to prison until October 18, when a report will be heard.

Meanwhile there were conflciting reports about the teenager being headless. However Government pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh clarified that the teenager was clobbered beyond recognition. Only pieces of bone and a bit of flesh was left to suggest the presence of her head. Family members of Gopaul however continue to insist that the teenager was beheaded and they needed her head to find closure in the matter.
