It is Thursday, 4, 2010 and just one more day before Diwali, the festival of lights gets here. The order for the day as of now is the Dharmic Sabha's Diwali motorcade. The motorcade leaves the Campbelleville mandir at 18:00 hrs and proceeds to the LBI mandir where the best display will be adjudged.
The police force will barricade the road and has advised the public to park their vehicles appropriately so as to prevent any confusion. Also pedestrians are asked to be careful on the road and not to walk betwwen the motorcades for their own safety.
Meantime the national Diya was lighted by Legal Affairs Minister Charles Ramson. Ramson highlighted the importance of tolerance of each other's religious beliefs in Guyana' seculous constitution.
More updates and pictures from the motorcade later tonight.
If you're headed for the motorcade be safe and look out for your neighbor. Have a great day guys!
